Did you know bees communicate by smells and dancing? Put a few drops of essential oil on two cotton pads. Repeat with several different oils. Give one of each pair to the student and place the other of the pairs at different locations around the room. Have the students match the pairs using only their sense of smell. Termite Mound Craft We happen to live in West Texas where termites abound. We were able to go out in the pasture and trap termites in their tunnels and observe them closely. We then came in and made our own termite mounds from brown clay. Arthropods Lesson 4 G&B Science
