Dottie and I sang a song about flying south, and talked about the different animals that migrate. We also looked at a large map that showed different animals migration route. Then Dottie completed a book called , On the Move!

What do animals do in the winter in the woodlands? eat, sleep, or fly.... we sang a tune to the wheels on the bus.... the bears in the winter sleep, sleep, sleep....the geese in the winter fly, fly, fly....a great activity I found on Kidsoup.com Dottie charted the animals winter activities and completed a book as well.

I love science. That's all there is to it. This Week we were able to aquire caterpillars from Addie's Grandma (Winbourn's Seeds). They eat and live on and around passion vines. When we got them they were already making a J and getting ready to form a chrysalis. Right smack dab in butterfly week. You gotta love it. Dottie journaled the whole experience and we hope to see the beautiful results in about 10 days. We also spent time doing other butterfly learning activities.
