Happy Candlemas Day! After years of celebrating Ground Hog's Day today we are celebrating Candlemas Day. The day that falls exactly between winter and summer solstice. It takes its name from the blessing of candles for use in church throughout the coming year.
If Candlemas Day be fair and bright
Winter will have another flight
If Candlemas Day brings cloud and rain
Winter will not come again
